Kia Soul lease offer, May 2025
The car that transformed Kia’s image in the U.S. market was the Kia Soul, and its quirky mod persona endures for 2025. The sensible yet funky $21,885 Kia Soul, wearing automotive couture that emanates from its California design studio, is the kind of car that’s cheap, cheeky fun. However, it’s incredibly sensible as well. Its 101 cubic feet of passenger room and 24 cubic feet of luggage capacity (62 cubic feet of space with the back seats tucked away) offers serious space. Its 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and continuously variable automatic gearbox produce 147 horsepower through the front wheels. All-wheel drive is not available. This is in keeping with its frugal nature, returning a combined EPA city/highway rating of 30 mpg using regular unleaded gasoline. Towing capacity maxes out at 1,135 pounds, with a roof rack capacity of 165 pounds.

Trim levels start with LX, and ascend through S, GT-Line, EX, and the Soulmate Edition, the latter being a special trim package with 18-inch wheels and a top-of-the-line audio system. Of course, most trims can be packed with self-indulgent options that make you feel good every time you drive it. Who can resist a heated steering wheel, wireless smartphone charging, head-up display, Harman Kardon audio system, and heated seats? Who would want to? It also comes with an 8- or 10.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, depending on trim level, along with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The best part? It doesn’t cost a lot to put one in your driveway.

Final thoughts
This tiny compact relies as much on its appearance as its driving prowess, with the sort of ride and handling you’d expect in the price range. It’s endearing, proving that paying more money doesn’t always provide more fun. It has enough pep around town for daily driving and enough handling chops to prevent boredom from setting in while driving. And its design never fails to enchant. While it doesn’t have all-wheel drive, most drivers won’t need it, and its lease deal is noticeably less expensive than some of its front-wheel-drive rivals, like the Chevrolet Trax and Nissan Kicks. In fact, the difference in price is enough to help pay for gas each week. That’s some sweet Soul music to our ears and makes it well worth checking out.
