    A Great Cookbook and Meal Plan!
    I bought this on a whim, since I do the You Are Your Own Gym workout. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I got it, and was worried it would be the same old tired chicken breast recipes. Let me tell you it is far from that! I couldn’t be more thrilled!The beginning information and the layout of the book is very informative. I knew my eating habits weren’t horrible, but knew they could use some help in the right direction and that help was provided here. The plan is simple to follow and I even love that he provided a few weeks worth of menu plans. That helped me get started as quickly as possible. (Today!)First, I will say, I’ve eaten so much food today, hungry is nowhere near my vocabulary. I was actually thinking of skipping dinner because I didn’t know if I could handle it! Every recipe I’ve made so far is simple and very tasty. This is well thought out, since so many eating plans forget all about seasoning and flavor. If you don’t want to eat it, you’re not going to stick with it, plain and simple. The flavors were great. I was shocked at all the international flavors and dishes he brought in to this and I love that. I’m not a fan of “plain old…” this or that. Give me something that I haven’t eaten most of my life! Another plus in Mark Lauren’s favor – my husband is enjoying this as much as I am. That means so much more to me than he will ever know. Getting the husband on board to eat healthy is always a challenge. I think that problem has finally been fixed!Overall, I’ve just gotten started, but I’m loving everything I’ve had and everything I’ve seen in this book. Just like his workouts, he’s knocked it out of the park with this book.

    This book is logical and makes sense hands down.
    i just got the book yesterday, and I’ve started reading it. It’s well laid out and well planned. He makes it simple to read and understand. He takes the guess work out, so all you have to do is just follow the meal plans. He even gives you the shopping list that you need for each week of food. Granted you’ll have to do some plan ahead meal prepping if you don’t want to have to pre-pair each meal at the time of eating. So if you’ll take the time needed you can pre-pair several meals and place them in containers in your fridge and just grab and go. I do this already with my meals for work. And you get to eat “way more” than you’d expect. This plan makes sense, and it’s very logical and easy to follow. Pay attention to the steps, and you’re good to go.And if you combine it with his Body by You books. I think I’ll get good/great results. Can’t wait to get started. I’ll see how it works for me, and then I may end up buying a few copies for friends.

    The recipes are sound, the nutrition is sound and sensible, the only issue I have with the book is that mr. Lauren says he wanted to create recipes that were budget friendly, then commences to recommend buying organic, grasped, cage free, hormone free, pesticide free, etc. I don’t know where he does his shopping, but by me all that doesn’t come cheap-and I’m in NYC! Anyway, he only recommends it, not dictates it, so I imagine you would do just fine by getting those items when it is advantageous, and not stressing about it if you cannot.

    Great easy recipes
    This book is one of the best I have found. I ordered two more copies one for each of my daughters. They are all about health and fitness as am I and you just can’t go wrong with this book!

    Somple, Healthy and Delicious Cookbook
    I recently received this cookbook and am very impressed and pleased with my purchase. I have never been much of a cook, so I usually find cookbooks to be intimidating. Not so with this cookbook. Simple ingredients with easy to understand instructions resulting in delicious meals i am proud to say I made, especially due to the healthy factor. The shear number of recipies is also impressive. This is one of those times when I can honestly say; if I can get the delicious results from using this cookbook, anybody can. I highly recommend it.

    Easy and Tasty Recipes
    There are some really great recipes in this book. I haven’t used the diet program and simply purchased it for new recipe ideas. It’s nice to get some healthy options that are easy to make and have plenty of vegetables without a lot of fat. The recipes all taste really good and are a great starting point for anyone who wants to eat healthier.

    Got this more for meal ideas than to follow as a plan. Some great tasty recipes in here. Easy to follow and not complicated. Easy enough to convert US measurements to UK. The same with substituting/adapting some ingredients for those in my cupboard. Good recipes here all the family will like.

    It’s good and complete as it takes care of non vegetarians as well as vegetarians….. Good and nutritious recipes are explained with additional notes .. Care has been taken to address every need of an individual and family. It’s basically based on American diet and food available there although now days such availability is universal that just adds to its value….Thanks to author and the entire team………

    Wir kochen schon länger bewusst und zum Teil “low carb“ aber irgendwann schmeckt alles gleich. Beim Training mit Mark Lauren kam die Idee zu suchen ob er Rezepte hat. Ein Kochbuch in Englisch war ein bisschen die Herausforderung, aber dank Google kann man gut fehlende Worte finden.Wir haben nun schon etliche “slow“ Gerichte gekocht. Sie alle waren schnell zubereitet mit “normalen“ Zutaten. Und das Beste, sie schmecken super lecker. Tolle Abwechslung zu den uns bekannten Rezepten. Lecker, einfach, schnell… 100% Weiterempfehlung.
