Easy to use recipes & encouraging
I liked all the variety of raw food recipes and simple ideas on how to get into Raw Food eating/living again. And the happy health benefits. This is my go-to recipe book now. So glad I got it!

    Like it, not love it.
I like the fact that you have many options but living in Alabama many ingredients were very expensive or nonavailable. I do like the fact that there are as many recipes for the beginners as for the advanced raw foodie. The few pictures that are inserted are of poor quality. However, I greatly appreciate the details such as : prep time, chef, equipment, etc which was given for every recipe.

    Incredible cookbook
This book fulfilled my wish for good information and good recipes for having more raw foods in my daily diet. It has GREAT information and GREAT recipes. Not only does it have absolutely outstanding recipes from famous chefs, but it also includes sprouting chart, services & suppliers of unusual items, resources, a very detailed index, and health-building references. Today I am going to make the Carrot Cake on Page 354 –can hardly wait to taste it.

    Raw Food
My husband and I have read about eating raw food. We feel that it is better for your health. We tried some of the receipes from the book. The jicama fries were disappointing for my children and I as we didn’t like the taste of the jicama. My husband liked the taste and crunch of the fries. We loved the lettuce wraps as It is a finger food and easier to make. The receipes vary for our family. The book has many good ideas of how to use raw food.Lorraine

Best book for going raw vegan
I love love love this book. I went raw vegan over a year ago and this book has been a god sent. I didn’t have any recipes until I purchased this book. I am more vegan then raw now but still use this book a lot. The recipes are good especially for taste.

    Amazing!
This book is amazing! I saw a couple of bad reviews and was a little concerned. Almost thought about canceling my order. I didn’t have much money at the time when I bought this. (I live paycheck to paycheck) Anyways, this book is simply RAWSOME! It has SO much information in the front. This isn’t just recipes. It talks about sprouting, dehydrating, everything you can think of. If you are wanting to go raw, you should really get this book. I have nothing but good things to say about it and it truly has helped me tons.

The Wonderful World of Dates, Bananas and nuts
The recipes in this book range from simple to downright difficult. I loved banana and tahini drink and the do it yourself V=8 recipe. Many of the recipes require expensive equipment such as a food dehydrators or a vitamix blender. Another downside is the time needed to make some of the more elaborate dishes (days of drying and sprouting/soaking). Some of the ingredients can also be very expensive and hard to obtain. I suggest that a raw foodist pick some easy inexpensive staple recipes in order to survive day to day like plain old apples and bananas for quick energy or trail mix is good for protein. Then, once in awhile make one of these recipes to keep things interesting. the upside of the cost is that the money saved from eating out and abstaining from alcohol can pay for your raw food diet.

I would recommend this to be one of the first books to buy if your switching to a raw diet. it is super informative, easy to read and has loads of recipes.

great book, would highly recommend, thank you

  12. by Peter & Dani

Found this book to be quite helpful, simple and easy to follow! There are some good recipes. Going Raw is a challenge and the more info a person can get the better choices they can make. Sure is worth it!

This is a pretty good book if you’re starting out like me. It gives you loads of information and background you might need and just has an enormous supply of recipes. Many of the reciped need odd equipment or ingredients and it does tell you what these thinsg are and how to get them etc but if you’re starting out it takes a lot of dedication.I also think it would be better if it weren’t just recipe after recipe and had some coloured pictures or just some more stuff to seperate it out a bit. It’s slightly overwhelming trying to find something to make from it.It is pretty comprehensive though and tells you everything you need to know, there’s lots of very simple recipes it’s just a matter of taking time to flick thorugh and find what you want to make based on what you have. I don’t really recommend improvising too much… if you try and do something without the equipment or complete ingredients it can just go completely different from how it’s meant to be!
