A worthy compromise in design.
I was a big fan of the Kishi V1 (aka GameVice Flex). It was the first gaming controller I used for my phone. I loved the feel and compact design of it.When I upgraded to iPhone 15 Pro Max, I couldn’t use it any longer. It was a huge bummer. So, stopped gaming for a while on my phone. I usually play while on flights, and with some trips coming up, I wanted to be ready.First I bought a Backbone One since I could pick it up at Best Buy down the street. I. played on it for about a week, but kept dreaming of the feel of the Kishi. I just really didn’t like how the Backbone felt. So, I decided to order the Kishi V2, it was night and day for me. While a slightly different design in the trips, it felt like I had my old controller back. I switched back and forth between the two controllers for a few days, and returned the Backbone.I do miss the original design. I felt less previous about it and could toss it in my bag without taking up too much space. The new design feels fragile to me, not to say it is poorly built. It’s a quality product. But with the expanding center piece, I now need to put it in a case out of fear it will bend or possible snap in the bag I carry. That being said, I love it. I’m able to game again on my iPhone. And the controller just feels right. It really comes down to preference. So many people love Backbone, but if you were a fan of the original Kishi I think you’ll be more than pleased with this. Unless the day comes they bring back the old design for the latest iPhone.

Great product update for mobile gaming
I used the Lightning version of this product and wasn’t entirely happy with it. Connecting and removing the phone was always a bit troublesome. Well, along comes the Kishi V2 to solve those issues. I use an apple fine woven case and with the rubber pads removed on the Kishi V2, the phone and case load and remove easily. The Kishi V2 is very light weight and connects to other compatible USB-C devices, such as tablets and laptops, through the charging passthrough port. A competing controller out there forces an unnecessary subscription cost on users for this feature. I am happy Razer has kept away from this sleezy practice.

Connection issues
Came 1 day late. After taking it out of the box I was impressed with the build only to find out it will not connect with my Samsung s23 fe unless it’s in a very specific position which alone tells me theirs an issue with the usb c port. Tried it on a second device and the same thing happened. On day 2 it just stopped connecting altogether. Disappointed af

A bit small for larger hands
This device is a bit expensive compared to other mobile controllers of the same quality and value it is also smaller than many and does not fit Gamers with larger hands as well as other brands and models

Nice USB-C gaming controller
With all of the games that I play on my phone, I’ve always been curious if using a controller with my phone would make a difference with my gaming experience. Using the Razer Kishi, it certainly does! The grips are soft, smooth to the touch, and it’s lightweight enough that I’m not bothered by the extra weight I’m holding in my hands. I was a little disappointed to find that one of my favorite games was completely incompatible with this controller, but I think that’s a problem with my game’s app, not with this controller. The controller was fairly simple to install, but the instruction booklet was not helpful. There are not many pictures, and there’s very little explanation included as to how to safely rest my phone into the controller while not snapping off the controller’s USB-C pin. That process has been cumbersome for me, but I’m getting the hang of it.My one bigger complaint about this controller is that there is no real leeway for phone cases that are a little thicker. This controller fits my phone case fine after removing the rubber/silicone bumpers that came with it (one pair already installed on the controller, but removable, and the other loose pair included with the package). However, my best friend has a slightly bulkier case and, because the controller doesn’t allow for any 3-dimensional adjustment where the USB-C pin is located, it was impossible to get his phone to fit the controller. It’s also worth noting that, for anyone who has a flap/plug for their USB-C port at the base of their phone case, this controller will not work with your case. You must be prepared to swap out for a more minimal case or completely remove your case in order to use the controller.Additional things I enjoy about this controller:- The buttons can be re-mapped- I don’t have to open my games through Razer’s app in order to use the controller- I didn’t have any trouble connecting my phone to it- I don’t notice any lag or latency in the buttons or the joy-cons.So far my phone hasn’t overheated or frozen up while using this controller and overall, I’m very happy with it. I would recommend this controller to any friend with a USB-C phone and some patience for swapping cases.

Not willing to remove my case. I returned the item.

The fact that you can only use the thinnest of cases with an iPhone 15 Pro makes this a pain to use. Having to take your case off to switch into the controller defeats the purpose. For the price, you just don’t get enough value from the controller on top of the lack of compatibility.
