Raw/living food – lots of options
I had tried raw/living food 2 different times and was up for a 3rd time trying it. I was getting a little discouraged until someone suggested this book. It gives great common sense information along with a variety of recipes. What I was missing was variety. If you’re looking into raw food for the first time, this is a great book. Really it’s a great book for anyone.

One of the Best On Raw Foods
This book, along with the Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisine book by Cousens, have become my bibles for raw food preparation. The best thing in the book is the smoothie. If you don’t use any other recipe in the book, I would recommend you use this one. It has stopped me from craving unnatural foods, which is something I thought could never happen. This alone is worth the price of the book. In my opinion, the Rainbow Green book is better researched and more scientific, but still the Jubbs have done a great job in presenting a picture of why we need to eat raw and how to go about preparing the foods. I have doubts about the constant low temperatures they recommend for drying foods, and some of the recipes are very involved. Rainbow Green and the manufacturer for Excalibur both recommend at least starting with a higher temperature and then finishing with a lower one, and they say enzyme activity in the foods are not lost. I have tried both ways and am better satisfied with the higher temps first, both in texture of the foods and the reduced amount of time needed to prepare it. Still, I wouldn’t be without this book. It’s a treasure. The Judds are certainly to be commended for all their research and hard work in preparing this book.

one of the better recipe books i have found on the market.
i like some recipe’s more than others but that didn’t stop me from making the same favorites over and over. i also liked the fact that this book is informative – it’s not just all recipe’s. if you are serious about doing the gall bladder flush, since i am petite, i found the olive oil dose a bit uncomfortable, so i wouldn’t try it again. but i do use the recipes and stick to the 14 day nutritional fast outline with the exception of the flushing days and i have noticed i have so much more vitality and i feel great while i am on his plan. it is truly and amazing book.

Written by an expert who walks her talk and lives the life
It was clear reading this detailed, informative book that I was tapping into two minds that were most intimately experienced in utilizing the offered data to live their own healthy lives and earn a sound living by helping others to do so.

Great info with instructions and recipes.
I refer to this book often, in my journey to change my diet to have a lot more raw, vegan foods. I may not go 100%, but I feel amazing just changing the percentage of my diet to more raw fruits and veggies!

Another book to promoto huge “organic” corporations!
I purchased this book as I am interested in healthy living. There are many things I agree on with the writers, such as the fact that pesticides ruin our food sources, and that it is better for you to consume foods without hormones, steroids, etc…However, the authors invariably demonstrate they belong to a left-wing food conspiracy where George Bush initiated farmer subsidies so that horrible corn, gas and oil companies, and drug manufacturers would benefit.Having come from the health food store today, it is insane to pay $ 3 for 1 organic avocado, $ 1 per organic lemon, the size of a grape, $ 12 for a bottle of organic juice. It appears to me that the “organic food movement” is milking the population even more than the regular food industries do. Do you have to be a millionaire in order to consume these so-called “natural foods”. A lot of crock and propaganda it seems for his organic food industry corporations. Yes, they are corporation as well, just like all the other ones. Bottom line: money! The only way you can truly live healthy is by foraging in the woods for wild-grown fruits and vegetables, or grow them in your own yard, not something the average human being can do while living in the city to be able to have a job to survive.

    LifeFood REcipe Book
Since the alkaline diet is rather new to the marketplace my wife and I really needed this book. It is an excellent book and, although we have not had time to try a lot of the recipes, the ones we have tried are really good. The only problem we have had is most of the ingredients cannot be found in a regular supermarket. But then that is kind of what we are trying to get away from anyway isn’t it? I am sure this diet will get more popular real soon. For me it is no longer a diet, it is a way of life!

I’m new to raw foods and loved this book. It was written with a very loving undertone to draw you into why a raw foods lifestyle is the best route for health and longevity. I bought another of the author’s books, and will be reading this book again. Very unintimidating.
