It’s no secret that I’ve been in love with Jax Cartwright for half my life. A terrible decision, really, and not just because he’s my brother’s best friend or he’s ten years older than me.
Thanks to an overprotective family, he’s ignored me for years, but still, I can’t get his grumpy a** out of my head. And in a wine-fueled, post-bad date funk, I make another terrible decision: show up at his cabin to ask why he’s never given me a chance.
The storm that got me stuck there overnight was a total fluke, but I’m no fool. While Jax is perfectly clear about not wanting a family or love or any of the happily-ever-afters I’ve dreamed of, what’s the harm in asking for just one night? The worst thing he can say is no.
He doesn’t though, and I was saying yes, yes, yes a whole lot after that.
Best. Decision. Ever.
One night is enough to feel like I can move on, and we agree to let it be a secret kept safe between us.
But you know what makes it hard to keep a one-night secret about my not-so-secret crush?
A positive pregnancy test.
Oh baby, things are about to get interesting.

Favorite book this year ð
Thereâs so much I want to say about this book/family that I seriously could write an essay (but I wonât do that to you lol). This book exceeded all my expectations and I could not love it more.I was so excited when this book hit my kindle. I just knew Poppy and Jaxâs book was going to be amazing. Poppy has been in love with Jax, her older brotherâs best friend, for years. In Forever Starts Tonight, Poppy decides to lay it all out for him. Sheâs determined to know once and for all how he feels about her. After showing up on his doorstep, they agree to one night only. However, things donât go as planned when weeks later Poppy finds out sheâs pregnant.Poppy is such a strong character. Even though sheâs the baby of the family and they would do anything for her, she wants to be able to stand on her own. She wants to live and learn from her own mistakes. She has big heart and is just what Jax needs. Jax has always been Cameronâs mysterious friend that Poppy was in love with. In this book, we really get to know him and canât help but fall in love with him too! His backstory was heartbreaking and Iâm so happy he found the Wilder family.Karla Sorensen excels at writing family dynamics . I have loved the Wilders since meeting them in Erikâs book. Over the course of six books, we have gotten to know and love them even more. Weâve mourned their losses and celebrated their victories. Weâve experienced their grief and watched them try to navigate their new normal. Weâve watched most of the siblings fall in love and find their other halves. The family is so welcoming and always makes sure everyone feels loved. I enjoyed all the scenes with Ivy. Sheâs grown so much!I shed more than a few tears reading this book but I had a smile on my face by the end. Iâm going to be sad when this series ends but I canât wait for Parkerâs book. Thank you Karla for the opportunity to read this book early and for sharing this wonderful family with us! ð«¶

Absolutely outstandingâ¦infinity stars
Oh my heart, what an absolutely outstanding read! It was every single thing my romance loving heart is always craving. A beautiful, emotional brotherâs best friend, surprise pregnancy romance that had me smiling, crying, and falling madly love with these characters and their story.Poppy has been in love with Jax since forever. One night, after a bad date and one too many drinks, she decides to confront Jax once and for all. One thing leads to another, and they share an incredible night together. But they both agree itâs only going to be one time. That is, until two pink lines show upâ¦Ugh, these twooooo! ALL THE FEELS! Be still my heart. Poppy and Jaxâs story was so worth the wait and lived up to its expectations and more. The chemistry and longing between these two were so intense and emotional. This was a love that had history, pain, and longing. It had it all. Their love for each other is so gorgeous to watch as they slowly let is happen and embrace all that comes with it, and I adored watching these two work through everything and finally find where they wanted to be.Thatâs not to say there werenât a few well placed bruises delivered to my heart. Tears were shed, in particular with Jaxâs backstory. I swear, I will never look at daisies the same way again. But in the end there were happy tears and my bruised heart bubbled over with happy emotion. It was truly a romance which made this a sublime reading experience.Forever Starts Tonight is one of those rare romances that stays in your heart long after the final page. Beautiful, meaningful, and powerful, this love story packs an emotional punch that hit me straight in the feels. It was exceptional, and it kept me eagerly flipping the pages. Karla Sorensen never disappoints me with her ability to write a swoon-worthy romance with emotional depth. I just loved this book so much.

Beautiful
I just have to say that I loved this book. It was beautifully written and had me laughing and crying. Poppy and Jax were an amazing fit. Jax needed someone who saw him and put him first, Poppy did that for him in so many ways. The only reason I did not give this book 5 stars was because I honestly felt that some parts of the book dragged on. I can’t exactly pinpoint when and where, but it took me a while to get through this book. That doesn’t make me love the book less, I just decided to speed read the parts that left me wanting.

Love the story, the longing and the sweetness
*spoilers alert – just in case*This is the second book of the Wilder family series that I read. Both were great and I truly enjoyed reading them. Looking forward for another one. Love the characters, I laughed! I cried! The only thing that didn’t feel natural or comfortable was the use of “they/them” in relation with the pregnancy. I understand that now a lot of people use it as a way of inclusion or to identify themselves…and nothing against that…but in this type of book…it didn’t feel natural….and kept me giving me the feeling that they were expecting tweens…which wasn’t the case…I understand the idea and sentiment behind it….but I think it doesn’t make sense in this type of book…just makes it confusing.I am giving it 5 stars because I think it’s a really good book and I really enjoyed. The characters are awesome..the use of a pronoun doesn’t change that. Also I don’t mean for my comment to be disrespectful. It’s just about how it felt for me.I can’t wait to read more of Karla’s books!!

Iâve loved every book in the Wilder series and every single one has always been my favourite when I was reading it. The Wilder family stories have been so richly written that I feel like I know them all. The author has done an incredible job telling the stories of this family in a way that makes you never want the books to end.Poppy and Jaxâs story was magical. Heart wrenching, emotional, funny, and poignant. This story, was one I was so looking forward to and it was worth the wait. So good. Canât wait to read it again.

This is the fourth book featuring the Wilder family and features Poppy and Jax.Jax has been in previous books and it has been stated on a number of occasions that Poppy has a crush on him.I canât say I warmed to Jax in previous books and wondered if my opinion would change during this book, boy did it.Poppy decides to go and see Jax and they have one night together – I donât like spoilers but it is no secret that there is an unexpected pregnancy.Through this book we get to understand more about Jax and why he has behaved like he has I the past.I just loved the way their relationship developed and as usual with a Karla book I laughed and I cried. I was definitely a Jax fan by the end of the book!Thank you again Karla, one of my go to authors. Next we have Parker Wilderâs book, which will be the last in the series, I really cannot wait for this one but I am already sad this fantastic series will be coming to an end.

The sweetness of this novel is hidden between the lines, in the small gestures that tell the story of Jax and Poppy as they meet, lose, and meet again. And in the way the characters, despite their frailties, find the strength to love and dream. This novel is a cuddle, a safe haven where emotions flow slowly and intensely, leaving a delicate and deep mark on the reader’s heart.

Poppy has her eyes set on Jax her big brother’s best friends for years… But he is a very complicated and inaccessible guy. Their story is excellent ð and they have just become my favourite couple of the family. They deserve their HEA.

Best of the series! I devoured the book in a day. Poppy and Jax’s story has been in the making since the beginning of this series and the book absolutely does it justice. Have always loved the Wilder family shenanigans which include the newer members now. Ivy is just hilarious. Amazing read!
