$0.00

Nothing could have prepared Sebastian and the elementals for what occurred on the beaches of Iona three months ago.

In the aftermath of loss and betrayal, they’re left to pick up the shattered pieces of their lives, recovering in their separate corners of the world. That is until the long-lost kingdom invites them back to their shores for a festival of peace.

Isolated to the spirit plane, Isla Vasileia has received a quest from the ancient gods. Ever since Isla took the magic from the elementals, the balance of nature has been greatly altered. Violent disasters have wreaked havoc across the kingdoms, decimating villages and tearing families apart. To bring the world back into balance, what was taken must somehow be restored.

When Isla finds herself back on the beaches of Iona, she reunites with Bri, Sebastian, and the former elementals, and they are thrust into a world of secrecy, fear, and lies. Danger lurks around every corner, but so does new love and a chance for a happy ending. Isla is once again caught in a game amongst gods, racing against fate and time to save the kingdoms from destruction, forced to make a decision that will change her world forever.

One way or another, the end will come for all.

This enemies-to-lovers series is full of morally grey characters, witty banter, unique elemental magic, romantic tension, and twists you won’t see coming. Beautiful Conclusion
✨Arc Review✨Gosh where do I even start. I’ll start with saying this book deserved every bit of 5 stars and more.Forever Reign by V.B Lacey is the second and last installment of the Elementals of Ioana duology. The first book, Long Live BLEW me away with beautiful imagery and complex characters. Forever Reign met and exceeded every expectation I could have had after Long Live. The characters in this book were constantly evolving and developing, and by the end they felt real to me. There was SO much realistic growth in them I wanted to cry for the people I’d come to known by the end of the book. Even after hours of having finished, I’m still imagining what the characters are up to right this moment! I don’t want to let them go and that is a sign of excellent writing! The plot of this book is also EXCITING. The pacing is beautifully done to keep the reader interested but not overwhelmed. V.B does best at banter and the small, hilarious moments of banter tie the story together wonderfully. Just when I think I can’t cry anymore, there’s the emotional whiplash of a quirky comment. The uniqueness of the storyline is captivating. There is a lot of fantasy books on the market and a lot of them have similar aspects. However both Long Live and Forever Reign feel like brand new books. I feel as if I’ve never read something quite like them, which makes them even more addicting.I’m sure the author is more sad than I am to let go of this enchanting story and lovely characters, but I truly am bittersweet about it. I enjoyed these books so much, I am positive I will be returning for a reread in the near futureForever Reign will release on 04/23/24 and is currently open for preorders. There is also preorder incentives listed on the authors bio, and you do not want to miss out!

    Amazing ending!
The characters in this duology have been some of my favorite to read about. The author does an excellent job of balancing all of the povs without making the story confusing. Each character is so different that every chapter and new pov is really interesting to read. It’s different mind sets and opinions and helps progress the story so well. For me the best part is the found family among all the characters. The group is so tight knit and with this ending we have many happy couples and characters. The four elementals finally have true happiness and are thriving in their new life. Now Isla and Sebastian were incredible in this book. Their chemistry and tension was amazing throughout the book and their ending was perfect. I love that Isla’s best friend also became a bigger character in this series. Hopefully we can see some of her adventures. This series is perfect for romantasy fans who love found family, adventures, elemental magic, and political scheming. This was a very fun duology!

    Exciting and Emotional Conclusion
Loved this so, so much!Forever Reign is the exciting and emotional conclusion to the Elements of Iona duology.A few months have passed since the events on Iona that left our characters shattered and heartbroken. While the Elementals are figuring out how to live without their elements, Sebastian tries to focus on his kingdom and rebuilding after the devastation wrought while under Celestine’s control. Isla has been drifting in the spirit plane when the Primeval gods come to her with a message – recover the Dagger of Volnus to restore the elements and save the world from destruction. The kingdom of Iona is ready to participate in trade again, and invites rulers from the other three kingdoms for a week of deliberations and celebration. Isla believes she can find the dagger on Iona and finally restore balance. What started on Iona will end on Iona, but at what cost?I absolutely loved this epic conclusion to the Elements of Iona duology. The ending of Long Live left me just as shattered as our characters, so I was eager to revisit this world and find out what happened. I thought this second book was well written and well paced – I could hardly put it down. Being back on Iona, we learn much more about this mysterious land. We also see more from the other monarchs and meet some exciting new characters. This book also had some excellent character development, especially among the Elementals. Being without their elements, they have had to navigate who they are at their core, and what kind of life they want to lead as mortals. Like Book 1, this book is told from multiple POVs, so we really get a sense of each character and their personalities. I especially loved Sebastian’s chapters – I love him and he must be protected at all costs! He had a great character arc, and we really see him shining in this book. Isla is our self-sacrificing heroine, and while this part of her personality did not change, she is learning to accept help and all the love coming her way, and what it means for her to be happy. The romance was also wonderful! This is a no-spice series, but don’t let that sway you – there is still plenty of romance, tension, and longing, and it just makes me kick my feet when reading it.I just loved this unique fantasy series, and I am quite happy with how book two wrapped things up for all our characters. Thank you so much to V.B. Lacey for an electronic advanced reader copy of this book! I loved it so much!

    Great book, poor handling
Disappointed in how this book arrived. The spine has either been damaged or was not well put together. You can see there are gaps and the pages are not straight. Looks like there could be water damage. Story itself is amazing

Like with Long Live (The first book of the duology) I really loved the magic system and the world building around it. It is more political than Long Live and it was a good way to make the story progress. I really liked how the multiple pov gave more depth to the characters (which is also common with LL). I also liked their dynamics how they all have different personalities and how they interact together in that regard. The characters struggles and growth were very relatable. How they tried to move on from their grief (and ptsd), how they felt, their fears, etc its was so realistic (I felt like VB Lacey was pointing out my feelings and struggles). The story between Sebastian and Isla progress naturally in a swoony slow burn romance with witty banter, I really love their exchange in this book, they were so honest with themselves and with one another it was beautiful.I can’t wait to read VB Lacey next work!

I think the book ended nicely, but honestly a bit lacking. I’m glad there was more content after the climax because a lot of other books seem to end right after the big battle and stuff. However, I will say that the way that this book ended felt a bit rushed, there wasn’t much buildup (imo) to what actually happens regarding certain characters ((I won’t spoil it)).Hopefully not the last time we see any of these characters!

What a wonderful conclusion to The Elementals of Ions duology by V. B. Lacey. Forever Reign was such an amazing book, and I absolutely loved reading about these characters again, especially after the ending of Long Live (book 1).Without giving too much away, Forever Reign commenced approximately several months after the ending of Long Live, and it was great to see how some characters have adapted to their ‘new’ lives. Kai and Aidan’s storyline was one of my favourites, and I loved seeing the continued growth of Isla. It was empowering to see Isla put herself first, and focus on understanding her feelings before completely jumping into anything with Sebastian.I binged this book until late into the night (or early into the morning), and couldn’t put it down. It made me smile, laugh, gasp, and there nah have even been a tear or two. While I didn’t want to say goodbye to the incredible world that V. B. Lacey had created, it was such a perfect ending.Thank you to V. B. Lacey for the advanced readers copy. My review is completely honest and voluntary.
