As with all the best Saatva mattresses, both the Memory Foam Hybrid and Loom & Leaf come with generous extras: a 365-night sleep trial, a lifetime warranty, and free white glove delivery that includes old mattress removal and room set-up (important as, unlike the best mattresses in a box, Saatva beds are delivered flat.). The only downside is that, if during your trial you decide this Saatva mattress isn’t right, there is a return fee.
Thanks to this month’s Saatva mattress sale, both the Memory Foam Hybrid and the Loom & Leaf are $400 off all sizes. As the cheapest mattress of Saatva’s line-up, a Memory Foam Hybrid now has a starting price of $949, with a queen reduced to $1,599 (was $1,999).
The Loom & Leaf, on the other hand, sits somewhere in the middle of Saatva’s mattress collection in terms of price. A queen is now $2,599 down from $2,999, making it $1,000 more expensive than a queen Memory Foam Hybrid.

The main difference between the Memory Foam Hybrid and Loom & Leaf is the design. The former has a memory-foam-and-spring hybrid design (hence the name) while the Loom & Leaf is all foam.Both have five internal layers ( and six overall if you count their antimicrobial organic cotton covers), with the Loom & Leaf standing just 0.5″ taller.
Like the best hybrid mattresses, the Memory Foam Hybrid uses individually wrapped coils near the bottom of the mattress for greater airflow and support, while the top layers are made from foam for contouring comfort. The Memory Foam Hybrid also features high-density foam rails to provide edge support and a layer of base foam for overall stability.
Meanwhile, the Loom & Leaf uses high-density and durable foam layers for support at the base, with upper contouring memory foam layers for pressure relief. Like the best memory foam mattresses, the top foam layers are infused with cooling gel to offset the heat-trapping tendencies of memory foam.
Both mattresses have quilted tops for plush pressure relief (and a luxurious finish.) They also both feature a gel-infused lumbar support core. This is a layer of zoned memory foam that provides extra support and relief to the lumbar region.

When we tested both mattresses for our Saatva Memory Foam Hybrid mattress review and the Saatva Loom & Leaf mattress review, we were impressed by how they suit all sleep positions, including side sleeping. They both excel at pressure relief, cushioning the touch points to prevent numb arms and painful shoulders.
We should point out that, as it’s available in two firmness levels, the Saatva Loom & Leaf can be slightly softer than the Memory Foam Hybrid — or even firmer. We tested the Relaxed Firm and rated it seven out of 10 on the firmness scale (with 10 indicating rock hard.) Our testing team rated the Memory Foam Hybrid a slightly firmer 7.5-8 out of 10. We expect the Firm Loom & Leaf to be harder again.

As for motion isolation, both scored high in our motion transfer tests, but the Loom & Leaf scored slightly better. However, the Memory Foam Hybrid has better edge support.
