Some call them “dysfunctional.” Others call them “real.” Now, everyone can call them “always-on.” That’s right, The Simpsons–one of the mainstays in family sitcom culture, will now be on your streaming device around the clock–as long as you’re a Disney+ subscriber.
On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, Disney+ announced a new 24/7 always-on stream for The Simpsons. At launch, the stream will feature every episode across 35 seasons (767 episodes, to be exact) in chronological order.
In a brand-new teaser announcing The Simpsons Stream, we see a montage of the iconic family in different variations seated on their living room couch, as they’ve appeared over 30+ years of the series.
It’s Now Always Simpsons Season
According to Disney, The Simpsons Stream programming lineup will be refreshed monthly and accessible to Premium Disney+ subscribers.
“From day one, the fans have asked for a Stream of THE SIMPSONS, and we’re happy to oblige,” Gabe Lewis, SVP of Programming & Content Curation, Disney+ says in a statement. “Streams on Disney+ have been a fantastic go-to experience for subscribers looking to sit back and relax with their favorite shows and movies, and we look forward to evolving the user experience and expanding the offering with more Streams, to more subscribers, later this year.”

Since it began airing regularly in 1990, The Simpsons has not only earned its cultural phenomenon status through innovating and pushing the envelope–it’s also impressively maintained that status over time as the longest-running primetime scripted show in TV history. Not to mention, the show has famously predicted actual events on more than one occasion. (See Season 11, Episode 17 “Bart to the Future” when the show predicted a Donald Trump presidency as just one example).
It’s hard to stay culturally relevant, especially across generations. But this 24/7 Stream will allow OG fans as well as newcomers to return to Springfield and spend time with these characters whenever they want.
Matt Selman, The Simpsons show-runner and binge-watcher emphasized the opportunity for everyone, saying, “THE SIMPSONS Stream will deliver a SIMPSONS marathon all day, every day—no matter when you tune in, this ultimate SIMPSONS binge will be there.”
In addition to the 35-season stream, The Simpsons collection, which features The Simpsons Movie, exclusive full-length episodes, and more than 10 shorts will continue to be available on demand for all Disney+ subscribers. Bundle subscribers can also stream the current season of The Simpsons via Hulu on Disney+.
