Mahindra University has launched School of Hospitality Management, offering a new B.Sc. (Hons.) in Culinary and Hospitality Management. The four-year programme will commence in the next few weeks with 30 seats, followed by a regular session in August 2025 with 60 seats.
The programme would also focus on emerging areas like culinary innovation and technology-driven customer experiences.
“With the hospitality sector expected to generate significant employment opportunities, this new school marks a significant development in hospitality education in the country,” Yajulu Medury, Vice-Chancellor of Mahindra University said.
He said the university would invest ₹70 crore to build infrastructure, including kitchens, to equip the students with hands-on skills.
The university, which is promoted by the Mahindra group, would use the network of Mahindra Holidays to train the students in various aspects of hospitality management.
The School boasts partnerships with renowned institutions like Virginia Tech and Conrad N. Hilton College.
Chef K. Thirugnanasambantham, Dean of the new school, said students would be exposed to newer technologies such as AI which would enhance the customer experience.
The school charges a fee of ₹4 lakh year for the course.
