HAL rises 1% on securing ₹13,500 cr order for 12 su-30MKI aircraft


Shares of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) rose 0.85 per cent to ₹4,700.60 on the BSE, after it announced that it has secured a significant order worth ₹13,500 crore from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for the procurement of 12 Su-30MKI fighter jets and associated equipment.

According to its exchange filing, this order aligns with the government’s ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative, with a substantial 62.6 per cent of the aircraft’s components to be sourced from the Indian defence industry. HAL’s Nasik division will be responsible for manufacturing these advanced fighter jets.

The delivery of these aircraft is expected to bolster the Indian Air Force’s operational capabilities and further strengthen the nation’s defence preparedness.
