TVS Motor Company is gearing up to debut in the burgeoning adventure motorcycle market in India with its upcoming 300cc ADV, speculated to be named the Apache RTX 300. Recently, the motorcycle was spotted testing in India for the first time, signaling that its launch is just around the corner. This highly anticipated bike is set to bring TVS into the competitive adventure touring space. Here, let’s take a look at what we can expect from the model.
TVS Adventure bike: Design
From the spy shots, it’s clear that the new TVS model leans more towards a road-focused adventure touring design than a hardcore off-road machine. The semi-faired bodywork combines a tall windscreen for wind protection, a distinctive beak under what appears to be a split LED headlight setup, and a sleek split-seat arrangement. Other highlights include auxiliary lights mounted on crash guards, swept-up exhaust for better ground clearance, and handlebar-mounted mirrors.

TVS Adventure bike: Hardware
The bike’s suspension setup includes USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. It rides on alloy wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tyres, ideal for light off-road trails and long highway rides. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes on both ends, likely equipped with switchable dual-channel ABS.
TVS Adventure bike: Engine
As for the engine, the motorcycle is expected to feature TVS’s newly developed 299cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled RT-XD4 engine. This engine platform was recently showcased at the TVS MotoSoul 2024 event. It delivers 35 bhp and 28.5 Nm of torque and will be coupled with a 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch.
Once on the market, the TVS Apache RTX 300 will join an increasingly competitive segment that includes the Hero Xpulse 210 and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and the newly-unveiled 2025 KTM 390 Adventure.
