Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the new-generation Dzire today, marking a significant evolution in design, features, and safety of its popular compact sedan. The 2024 Dzire comes with a host of updates, including a modernized look, enhanced interior tech, and improved safety standards, setting it significantly apart from the outgoing model. Here, let’s take a look at the key differences between the two.
New Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Design
On the exterior, the 2024 Dzire gets a completely revamped front fascia, featuring a larger, chrome-accented grille, sleek projector LED headlights that incorporate DRLs and turn indicators. Moreover, fog lights now feature a sleeker housing and a black bezel surrounds it. Moving towards the rear, the new Dzire sports a shark-fin antenna and redesigned Y-shaped LED tail lights. Newly-designed alloy wheels complete the profile, although they are expected to retain the same size as in the previous model.

New Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Cabin and features
Inside, the new Dzire comes with a 9-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and connected car tech. Maruti has packed the sedan with advanced features such as an Arkamys sound system, 360-degree camera, auto-folding ORVMs, LED fog lamps, and even an electric sunroof. Other key feature highlights include cruise control, a rear defogger, Type-C charging ports, and more.
New Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Safety, engine and mileage
One of the most exciting things about the new Dzire is its safety, with the model becoming Maruti’s first car to secure a 5-star rating from Global NCAP. Standard safety features include six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill-Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX child seat anchors, along with improved pedestrian protection features.
Under the hood, the new Dzire is powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine delivering 82 hp and 112 Nm of peak torque. This is slightly lower than the outgoing model’s 1.2-litre 4-cylinder engine’s 90 hp, 113 Nm. The power plant will offer both a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT for transmission choices. The carmaker has claimed a mileage of 24.79 kmpl with the manual and 25.71 kmpl with the AMT. CNG variants offer an impressive 33.73 km/kg.
