Honda Cars India recently released a teaser for its all-new, third-generation Amaze, giving a glimpse of its front design. This reveal comes just days before the scheduled launch of the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire, setting the stage for an intense rivalry in the subcompact sedan market. The Amaze is officially slated for launch on December 4, 2024, and here, let’s take a quick look at what we can expect from the model.
Third-gen Honda Amaze: What to expect
The teaser image, a digital sketch of the model, shows a revamped front fascia, featuring bold styling lines and a hexagonal grille, complemented by sleek LED headlights and DRLs reminiscent of the Elevate SUV. While the rear design and interior details haven’t been revealed yet, we can expect a revamped rear end and a tech-forward cabin from Honda to keep up with the rising competition.
Under the hood, the Amaze is expected to continue with its 1.2-litre, NA petrol engine, producing 87.7 hp and 110 Nm of torque. As for transmission options, there will be a choice between a 5-speed manual and a CVT transmission.

Launched in 2013, the Amaze quickly became a cornerstone for Honda in India’s competitive compact sedan market. Its 2018 update helped it stay relevant amidst strong rivals, but the third-generation model aims to raise the bar even higher. With competitors like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor, the new Amaze faces tough competition, but Honda will be betting on its fresh design and enhanced features to keep it a popular choice.
